I originally transcribed Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap for members of Ridge High School’s A Cappella Choir participating in the Hide and Seek project in 2008. Now the files are available for everyone to download, free of charge, with part tapes already made for you (and your choir’s) convenience. Hide and Seek is SATB, but it’s been performed by women and men’s choirs alike throughout its existence.
Please be aware that this is meant to be a “perfect” representation of the notes Imogen Heap is singing in the song - which can get pretty high for female voices, since Imogen alters her pitch with a synthesizer. It might be easier for choirs to take some female parts down the octave if people can’t sing that high (but it sounds ridiculously impressive if they can). Alternatively, you can also find a single female soloist to take the highest pitches and have everyone else drop the octave.
Also, I’m sorry for the wacky look of the piano score on the music! This was back when I was first learning Sibelius and I couldn’t seem to figure out how to fix it. The piano is just a reduction of the choral bits, either way, so if it’s weird to read you can ignore it and just play each part for practice.
